Termination

Military Fast Ropes provide efficient and safe methods for inserting and evacuating personnel to and from specific targets. Designed for high-performance operations, our fast ropes are available in several stock variations and can also be made in any custom length. We offer these ropes with or without the FRIES (Fast Rope Insertion/Extraction System) loops, and with two distinct termination ends: ABLE Termination and Soft Eye splice termination with Steel Ring added.

Product Description

Ravenox Military Fast Ropes are designed to meet the rigorous demands of military insertion and extraction operations. Constructed from low-stretch nylon fibers with an 8 braid design, these ropes reduce kinking and provide fast, fully controlled, and safe descents. Our fast ropes are available in lengths of 30 FT, 60 FT, 90 FT, and 120 FT, and can be customized with ABLE Termination or Soft Eye splice termination with a Steel Ring.

The ABLE Termination - Am-Steel Blue Loop Eye Fast Rope Termination is very short in profile and compatible with Fast Rope rappel devices. It is designed to be used on Black Hawk FAST rope Hookup/Release Bar without the need for an additional steel ring. The rated strength of ABLE Termination is 15,000 lbf.

All fast ropes are whipped and heat-sealed on the bottom. The Soft Eye top Termination includes a steel ring, allowing the line to be hooked to the davits found on certain helicopters. This eye splice is the strongest and safest method of terminating the line, developing approximately 85% of the break strength of the line.
