Thin Blue Line Ropes and Leashes
To honor those who protect and serve us everyday Ravenox is proud to produce our Thin Blue Line Rope. The Thin Blue Line is a phrase used by law enforcement and refers figuratively to the position of law enforcement in society as a bulwark between order and anomie, or between criminals and the potential victims of crime. The term began as an allusion to the famous Thin Red Line, when a British regiment held off a Russian cavalry charge during the Crimean War in 1854.
Thin Blue Line Twisted Cotton Rope
Ravenox began producing Thin Blue Line Gear after many requests from Law Enforcement. These ropes have been used in ceremonies, memorials and events honoring Police, Sheriff's and Law Enforcement officers around the nation.
The Thin Blue Line twisted cotton rope is manufactured in 1/8-in, 3/16-in, 1/4-in, 3/8-in, 1/2-in and 5/8-in diameters in lengths from 10 feet to 1,000 feet. Made from the highest quality cotton yarns it is easy to tie knots in and splice. The natural fiber rope is soft on your hands and is perfect for most applications.
Thin Blue Line Braided Utility Rope
Our braided utility rope is made from multifilament polypropylene (MFP) fibers and is a synthetic option to our natural fiber cotton ropes. This Black and Blue color combination is also very soft and is great for indoor or outdoor applications. Also known as derby rope it is commonly used for tie-downs, emergency rope, horse halters, horse leads, barriers, boating or just a general-purpose utility rope. It is also commonly used in knot tying classes, theater rope, decorative rope and as tack rope for equine use – hence the name Derby Rope. This is also one of the most popular ropes for dog leashes.
Our Thin Blue Line color combination is available in 1/4-in, 3/8-in, 1/2-in, 5/8-in and 3/4-in diameters and in lengths from 25 FT to 1,000 FT.

Founded in 1984, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund is dedicated to telling the story of American Law Enforcement and making it safer for those who serve.
A nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization headquartered in Washington, DC, the Memorial Fund built and continues to maintain the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial—the nation’s monument to law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. The Memorial Fund is a principal organizer of the National Police Week observance each May and hosts a Candlelight Vigil each May 13th to honor all fallen officers. In addition, the Fund maintains the largest, most comprehensive database of line-of-duty officer deaths, conducts research into officer fatality trends and issues, and serves as an information clearinghouse.
More recently, the Memorial Fund is building the National Law Enforcement Museum, currently under construction adjacent to the Memorial in Washington, DC. The Museum will tell the story of American law enforcement through exhibits, collections, research and education.
The Memorial Fund is governed by a Board of Directors representing 16 of the most prestigious law enforcement organizations in the country. In addition, three major corporate partners serve on the Board of Directors including DuPont, Motorola and Verizon. Led by Chief Executive Officer Craig W. Floyd, Memorial Fund staff members bring diverse backgrounds and skills to the organization’s mission. The Memorial Fund does not receive taxpayer dollars for its day-to-day operations, but relies on the generous contributions of the public.
